The overall star rating for the Innotek Anti-Bark Collar is 3.8 stars. There a number of customer reports on this product, including some problems identified by a few of those who have purchased and used this collar.

There are some complaints about the citronella running out too quickly and needing constant refilling.  I guess this to some extent reflects how effective or ineffective, as the case may be, the device is for any individual dog.

There are some dogs that don’t object to the smell, or who quickly get used to it. While they may or may not get a little distracted by it for a short time, they will then just resume their barking behavior.

Some people really don’t like the smell of the citronella either, whereas others quite like it and describe it as a pleasant citrus smell.

Others said that the product was inconsistent with how it was delivering the correctional spray, which when repeated inappropriately in quick succession, would cause undue stress for their dog.  There were some other reports of the device stopping working altogether, after only a short time of use. One also had the collar clip break on them.

Yet another customer reported they had success with the product with one of their dogs, however, their second dog, which also needed the training, is too small and the collar would not work for them. They would like to see Innotek design one for smaller dogs.

So obviously all the reports were not bad, there were quite a lot of happy customers who found the collar worked just as advertised. Of course every dog and situation is different, so it would be very unlikely to find a dog bark collar that works 100% well for everybody.

There was one person who shared how they used it very successfully for crate training their dog and said it only took about 3 times with the collar on, and now there is no further need to use the collar any more.
